Rice Krispy Treats

Time: 10 minutes Makes: 9×13 pan

Ingredients:

  • 6 cups cereal of choice (branch out! Try Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Fruity Pebbles, etc.) (5 cups if you want them to be marshmallow-dominate)
  • 5 Tbsp unsalted butter
  • 10 oz bag mini marshmallows
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Melt butter in tall sauce pot over medium heat.
  2. While butter is melting, line a 9×13 pan with parchment paper and spray with nonstick spray.
  3. Add marshmallows and pinch of salt and stir until melted and combined.
  4. Remove pot from heat and add cereal.
  5. Stir, stir, stir until all cereal is covered with marshmallow.
  6. Spoon the mixture into the pan quickly, the marshmallow will start to cool quickly.
  7. Use another piece of wax paper, sprayed with nonstick spray to (semi-gently as to not crush the cereal) to shape the mixture to the edges of the pan.
  8. Let cool, and cut with a sharp knife. Eat same day or store in a tightly sealed Ziploc bag.
